Best Performance of 2013

Best-Performance

Each of the awards at this year’s ceremony is special in its own way. However, the category of Best Performance merits a different type of appreciation. This category is all encompassing, and represents some of the most captivating dance routines that grace the competition stage.  In the short amount of time that performances like these take place, we as audience members are left in total awe.  On that note, “Broadway Melody,” from Temecula Dance Company did just this and took home the Star Award this year in Las Vegas.

Soon after discovering that “Broadway Melody” was nominated for a Star Award, everyone at the studio was super excited, according to TDC founder, Lani Morel.  Jimmy Peters, the Artistic Director of TDC, also added, “it’s extremely great, they were nominated out of tens of thousands of performances.  It’s a great feeling to be recognized by your peers and to receive an honor such as this because of it.”  Furthermore, “Broadway Melody’s” award means a lot to TDC because this routine is a signature number of theirs, in that it “showcases TDC’s diversity quite well.”

On behalf of Temecula Dance Company, Lani and Jimmy would like to thank Noah Lands (KAR), Joe Loera (Rainbow), the families of every single performer for trusting the TDC staff with their children, the prop dads, and everyone at Masquerade.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in this performance.  Keep up the good work TDC – you do an outstanding job inspiring us all!
